HARRISBURG – State Rep. Dave Zimmerman (R-Lancaster/Berks) today announced the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s School Safety and Security Committee has approved grants to bolster school safety and mental health support. Six schools in the 99th District will benefit from the grants.

“Our students deserve every opportunity to succeed, and that includes safe spaces to learn and grow,” Zimmerman said. “I am pleased to see area schools awarded with this critical funding and know it will go a long way toward ensuring a sense of security for our students, faculty and staff alike.”

The following schools which serve students in the 99th District received awards:

• Cocalico School District - $153,135.
• Conrad Weiser Area School District - $145,862.
• Eastern Lancaster County School District - $151,895.
• Governor Mifflin School District - $176,729.
• Pequea Valley School District - $125,851.
• Wilson School District - $217,917.
